March, 2002 saw me standing on the
bridge over the West (North) end of Enola Yard as the train on the
left was coming in and the train on the right was heading out.
Most of the subject matter of my photos are trains.
Maryland and
Pennsylvania's CF7 #1504 leads this train west bound under the
Highland Avenue Bridge in West York on a cool early morning in
April, 2004.
My camera is also handy when there is action
in the neighborhood. This fire took place about 4 or 5 blocks
from my apartment and I walked to the scene in time to catch smoke
still pouring out of the buring structure. I emailed the shot
to my friend, who is an Assistant Fire Chief in York, and it found
its way into the Fire Department's annual report.

This is one of two lighthouses on the island
of Boca Grande, Florida. My parents live only an hour away
from this paradise in a place that was previously unknown to most
people - Punta Gorda. Hurricaines this year devastated a lot
of the area near their home. I'm hoping that Boca Grande
survived. It's truly a beautiful island.
A word about my camera...It's a Canon
PowerShot A20. Despite the fact that it's only a 2.1 mega
pixel, it is quite versatile in both low light and daylight.
It's easy to use and I am quite happy with it.
